Our Impact section aims to highlight a client who has had a significant journey with the company. Our Winter Impact winner is Amelia and this is her experience in her own words:
In September 2021 I was embarking on my A levels and thinking I might like to go to university. I have always been a positive person, but to start all I could see were barriers. I would need 1:1 support to enable my independence, as well as support in my lectures and it was all a little overwhelming.
Once I had secured my funding from my Local authority, we started to look at agencies
that could support me. My Support Worker felt right straight away, they stood out from the
others with their 'can do' attitude, their kindness and that nothing was too much trouble. As
soon as I met Sue, the barriers started to melt away. I started Chester University in
September 2023 and my journey has been amazing. I have 2 fantastic PA's called Leah
and Piers, the way the care is set up gives me peace of mind as they cover for each other,
so I'm never left without support, which was one of my biggest fears. They are both easy to
get along with and they have both got the balance between the care I need and my
independence. Sue is always on hand if I have any queries. The staff are trained to a high
level and the training is regularly updated. My start at university has been much better
than I dreamed of and I am enjoying living my independent life!

at university and that she is happy with her support.
